New release of the Lattix Software Architecture Management Solution provides new API and scripting capabilities

Crawley UK - November 11, 2009- SCL, UK reseller for Lattix software architecture management solutions, today announced the release of, Lattix 5.5. This solution includes powerful new functionality to enable software architects, developers and managers to identify defects, re-engineer software,and measure the quality of complex software systems.

In addition to performance improvements and feature enhancements, Lattix 5.5 provides a new API which can be used to extend and customize the functionality of Lattix with improved integrations to Microsoft Visual Studio, as well as new integrations with the popular graphing packages GraphViz and Pajek.

Users can now write their own scripts to manipulate and query a Lattix project, or change an existing script to meet their requirements. The Scripts Repository in the Lattix KnowledgeBase provides access to scripts such as those which:

• enable integration with build systems for change impact analysis
• display a variety of network diagrams using GraphViz
• generate a list of dependency paths between two elements

Integration with Microsoft Visual Studio

The new integration with Microsoft Visual Studio enables the source code for a selected dependency or element definition to be displayed in Visual Studio. With Lattix LDC, it is possible to automatically update the Lattix project with source file and line number information as part of the Visual Studio build process.
