Harrow College use SCL’s digital marketing services to aid online student recruitment with better data

Harrow College is a large further education institution in North West London. Split over four campuses, the college serves more than 9,000 students with various short and long-term courses.

Harrow College wanted to improve the typical student enrolment journey. To do this, the college needed to understand exactly how students were interacting with the digital systems used for the enrolment process.Harrow college graduation 2015-A

The college’s marketing team invested in web analytics technology from IBM to extract the relevant data, and enlisted expert support from SCL to ensure that the new system would be able to provide the right level of insight. SCL was able to help Harrow College produce meaningful and actionable reports with a programme of best practice consultancy. SCL also supplied web analytics training to the in-house team to help them interpret the data and make their own adaptations to the system in future.

An improvement to the quality of data, provided on an automated basis, has also brought about greater visibility and return on investment for the marketing team – which is continuing to use SCL’s support to drive through further digital initiatives.

Since we have had SCL as a partner we have covered so much more than would have been possible if we had attempted the configuration alone. Their team has been essential in helping us get to a much better place. Our objective is to drive people to apply on-line and avoid paper form filling in person or over the telephone, so this insight has been crucial.
